Got the Blue

If you read the previous blog entry I was complaining about my ineptitude with a camera. Finally I've got the shot I needed. The background is now blue, not grey and not reflecting light. Part of the problem was that I've been messing with mediums as of late trying to get a deeper colour and an overall shine throughout. This piece has the perfect shine (although difficult to photograph) I think it turned out well in the end.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!

What a Mix

Somehow I managed to finish three paintings that I had sitting unfinished for a little while  Floral Mix 012 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to Buy Reach to the Top 7" by 5" oil on canvas board Click to Buy Green Reflections 5" by 7" oil on canvas board Buy with Paypal A productive day after all.
