Peonies

Peonies



Peonies have been a feature in a lot of my paintings. I enjoy their form, their flimsy petals, and their colours. They add interest to any bouquet. I've tried several formats at attempting to paint them but I think truthfully, each project has it's own identity and how I handle the painting application of them is decided for each project individually.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
