Rubber Brushes

On an excursion a few days ago, I was out and saw some rubber brushes. I hadn't seen them before, had only heard of them (and for some reason, never consciously sought them out). But there they were, so I bought them.
Why had I not picked them up before?
They are wonderful for that always awkward and finicky signature at the end when everything is so wet and thickly applied.

I had read of two artists that used them, and now, I'm a third.

It actually makes my name legible once again.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!

What a Mix

Today I was all over the place at first, running around. Somehow I managed to finish three paintings that I had sitting unfinished for a little while  Floral Mix 012 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to Buy Reach to the Top 7" by 5" oil on canvas board Click to Buy Green Reflections 5" by 7" oil on canvas board Buy with Paypal A productive day after all.
