Something New

I've been trying a few new things in the past few weeks. This is my first finished Landscape in a while. I hope to have a few more coming soon. I took this photo up in Algonquin Provincial Park in 2013. To say that it was overdue is an understatement.

Fun Facts: I took 1500 photos that weekend (Most I'd ever taken in such a limited time). My daughter came down with the flu and spent four hours in the tent sleeping off the worst of it (No, I didn't take any photos of her while she was like this). I also discovered that if you get up in the dark, walk through the fog not seeing another soul in the campsite, when you get to the waterfront there are more photographers set up than paparazzi. I had never seen anything like it before. It took awhile to find a spot to set up without getting another camera in the shot. (That was a different photo than above)

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!
