Early Nights

It's that time of year again where the nights start way too early and it seems like you're always turning lights on and off around the house. I thought I'd just go with that theme for a bit with my small canvases. Dark dramatic lighting will be my focus but the objects will change. It will give me some practice with some pottery pieces too.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
