Autumn

There is something about Autumn colours.
Orange
Yellow
Deep Red
Most of the time we don't gravitate towards orange but at this time of year we surround ourselves in it. I bought myself some flowers at the farmers market and just threw them together. Took some pictures and knew that I had to do an autumn piece.

I am not sure if chrysanthemums and cabbage roses go together but they were interesting to paint together.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
