Algonquin Marsh

The largest pieces always take the longest. 
So I have taken some progress shots to see how the painting is developing. 




I started out wondering if I was going to paint this in a more monochromatic tone.




I decided to add more colour in as I went.
This one will be called "Algonquin Marsh" when I am finally finished with it.

Spring time!

Spring is here! Although some days are still rather cool, the sun is shining more.  The rain has made everything nice and green and the gardening centers are really busy! Audiobooks and Art

I know many artists like to listen to music while they paint but I like to listen to audiobooks. I borrow from the library and its usually great but today I was three quarters through when it expired on me (my fault). When I went back in to borrow it, I had to place a hold.
