"Bejeweled"

"Bejeweled"
was a small daily painting where I wanted to explore the light reflecting through the citrus fruit.
I chose I piece of every fruit I had on hand. Grapefruit, orange, lemon and then a lime.
The lemon piece (main right foreground) has come out a little more green
but that was the colour I was seeing at the time.
I painted in light glazes to get the mixture of colours to blend.
It was something new to try and I think I'll continue to explore it.

Color!

Did someone say they wanted a painting with color? HOT Pink! available as original or as a Print!

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
