Size

I have noticed that it is hard to interpret the size of paintings on the internet.
Sometimes I expect a small painting and when you see it in a different picture, it's actually massive and vice versa.
When I was varnishing last week I noticed how big this bow was. (top right)

And it got me thinking...

Seeing art side by side, or even at a distance, makes a big difference.

Setting can change your outlook as well.

I'm going to try and incorporate a "setting" photo when I have the option
of multiple photos from now on.
Hopefully it will help.

Color!

Did someone say they wanted a painting with color? HOT Pink! available as original or as a Print!

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
