Vintage Series

This past Spring I had intended to create a four piece Vintage series, one to represent each season. I had chosen four separate photograph references but they all had subdued colouring. The two below I finished right away.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
