Spotlight


Introducing number two of the Dark series.
This one is called "Spotlight". 
With the direct overhead light and the central positioning, I think it's an adequate description. This one is a showstopper. There's a lot of energy in the leaves and twigs visually moving your eyes around but the blooms with their gorgeous colours keep you coming back to them.

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
