Sunflower Extravaganza

Sunflowers seem to be the hit item this year.

So I suppose, I went a little crazy with them.

I painted this trio at the same time, keeping the palette in similar hues.
They are warmer than my prior sunflowers, which makes it more about autumn with the sun changing and the those last days of warm weather.

I made some on canvas board so that those of you who just want a hint of color or have a smaller space to fill also have a selection to choose from.

Or keep them as a trio.

Or perhaps, just the two smaller panels that you can frame and brighten up a room.
Choices are good.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
