All in One

This is the last post about the shed.

I have included a collection of photos showing the shed from start to finish.

April was clearing out the plants, shrubs and roots.
Footings and framing for the floor and the planks (trying to make as economic as possible during the wood inflation). Gravel to help level out where we were going to be working for the next few months. Also to keep weeds down.

May was a dry month and the framing and roof went up in two weekends.

June was all about rain. We had to manage around the weather.
The front door went on relatively early and the inside was painted when my husband bought a paint sprayer and had to try it out. The windows took longer as we were waiting on the glass.

July was siding and trim as well as windows, side doors and skylight.
I believe we also built the potting bench and started dressing the inside as well.

August was soffit and finishing touches.
Spoiler alert; there are a lot of those final touches.

 This is late August.
Putting on that flower box and the grille in the windows made such a difference.

It looks finished but there are still a lot of little things to do.

This last photo is in November.
The leaves are starting to fall and I will change the flower box over to winter theme
with greenery and other wintery arrangements.

It's amazing how much the sun changes throughout the year.

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!

Audiobooks and Art

I know many artists like to listen to music while they paint but I like to listen to audiobooks. I borrow from the library and its usually great but today I was three quarters through when it expired on me (my fault). When I went back in to borrow it, I had to place a hold. So I'll have to wait a week to find out what happened.  Blue Hydrangea 096 oil on canvas board 8" by 8" Click to Buy   Whenever I look at a painting I can always remember what book I was listening to. In some ways I self title them that way. This one will always be split into two but I got it finished anyway.  Not to advertise but I realize if I don't say it's a cliff hanger -  Sara Gruen - At the Water's Edge (interrupted- don't tell me how it ends) Sara Gruen - Water For Elephants
