My NEW Garden Shed

For years we have had a tiny metal shed that we both would bump our heads in. It was cheap and it would keep our outside stuff dry, mostly. We have lived here for about twenty years, so perhaps it was about time to get a more grown up shed.

So I designed one with glee while my husband grumbled about Pinterest under his breath.

This is the before photo. 2020.

I have spent many years building up the privacy factor and it was difficult to pull it all down and strip the corner.

So we stripped it in April while everything was still dormant so it didn't seem like we were taking away so much. It took the two of us a weekend to clear it out, roots and everything.

These two beautiful sheds were my inspiration off of Pinterest.

The floor went in first.
I wanted a concrete pad but this is what I got. I cannot complain too much because when I step into my shed the smell of new wood is a wonderful thing to experience.

Three weeks later the framing happened. In one weekend, the framing was up.

I'm going to leave that there for today, I hope you look forward to seeing tomorrow's blog.

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!

Color!

Did someone say they wanted a painting with color? HOT Pink! available as original or as a Print!

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal
