Black canvas

I have painted on black canvases before but this one is the largest.

My drawing wasn't anything detailed, I went in with a rather vague idea of what I wanted with only knowing where I wanted the roses to be.

I tried to figure out the leaves as I went, as well as the colors to use.

You always ask yourself where do you stop and how much detail to use.
Sometimes it works and sometimes you over do it.
Only time will tell.

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!
