Floral Arrangements

Over the past few weeks I have done a few traditional floral paintings. They vary in colour and size but they are consistent in all the elements of a classic floral still life.

This is a more contemporary view of a floral arrangement so I kept it simple, light and fun.

This arrangement was completely made up from three different photos with different lighting. I hope I pulled it off.

This one was one I finished just before Christmas. I personally like the energy of it, as well as the muted raspberry colours.

Which one is your favourite?

Color!

Did someone say they wanted a painting with color? HOT Pink! available as original or as a Print!

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
