Dark Still Life


Last week I was busy with the Blooming March Challenge
 but this painting was finished right before it and almost got lost.
More in nature with the dark series but it is one of two ranunculus
 paintings that have been in the large pile of "to do".

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
