Wonderland in the Making

This is a much quicker look at the not-so-perfect process in this creation.

As you can see as you follow all the way down, I paint everything multiple times in multiple layers.

I make corrections and try again. The roses were a particular nemesis in this composition.

The space is filling up here and the colors start to change.

Adding everything in slowly.

The initial drawing started to create the beginning mood.
This is how it all starts.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Spring Rhythm

This is another one of my faves! It's a softer Spring piece but there is something almost musical about the flow throughout. The yellow flowers were trimmed from my rosebush out in the front yard. The rest of the arrangement came from Creekview Floral, who do amazing bouquets and arrangements.  "Spring Rhythm" 12 x 16 oil on canvas This one needs a new home!
