Something New and Unexpected!

Pet Portraits!!!

I have painted a few furry critters over the years but I had a casual request to put some in a local shop and I thought, why not?
So for the past few weeks I have been painting away to see what I can come up with.

I explored various materials.

Winnie on gesso board 8"x8"

Penny on birch wood mounted.
10"x8"

These were my first two attempts and I am very pleased to say that they get better as I painted away.

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room. It's small size allows for it to be a part of a larger compilation or in smaller spaces such as hallways, kitchen, or bathrooms. Iris (19-14) 6" by 6" oil on canvas board Click to buy with Paypal

Hydrangeas

It's that time of year! Hydrangeas have bloomed. Sunflowers have bloomed. If you want them all year round, here's the best way to keep them! All are still available!

What a Mix
