Henry

Here is a quick look at how Henry was created.

First, I had an awesome photo of him.
I had preciously made a tiny (5"x7") painting of him.

Starts out pretty basic, just trying to get the composition centered.

Starting to fill in.


And then,
there he is!

Iris (19-14)

Another iris for the collection. This is a part of the spring collection that I am working on. I kept the background simple so the focus was on the main attraction, the bloom. The purple is a deep variation of colour and the top of the bloom is a gauzy white.  This artwork could work in any room.
